Moxy Lyon Airport

I can not recommend the Moxy at Lyon highly enough. I would rate it as excellent ++++++++. Everything was of the highest quality. The quirky style of the decor greeted you at the door in a way only the French can carry off. The eye for detail was superb, from E.T. running on a loop as you came in, to 24-hour availability of hot and cold water and everything in between in the lobby. We were there twice with a French boating holiday in between stays. Sylvie, who was catering manager, remembered I liked a decaffeinated coffee in the morning and brought it to me without asking at breakfast time. All the waiting staff of meals and the bar, were very considerate and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The room, though small, was comfortable - the bed particularly so. Even though there was no wardrobe and you hung clothes on the wall, it all added to the quirkieness. You would never have known we were right beside the airport runway, it was so quiet. The bed was super comfortable. I liked the extra touch of lights going on under the bed so you could see to go to the toilet at night. This is a real consideration when you are disabled and have unsteady legs. Would not hesitate to use Moxy again. A double Gold Star and an Award should be given to this hotel

The friendly staff. The bed. The linen. Clean surfaces. The air con was working and finally cooled the room after two hours. So that was good. Quiet room. All the drinks are out in the hall by the lift so if you need more water or tea, or a fresh cup, you can.

The location inside the airport building was excellent, very convenient for returning rental car and being in place for an early flight. The room was modern and spacious with plenty space for suitcases, and with all necessary facilities. it was well soundproofed so that although our panoramic window looked out onto the runways , we couldn't hear anything. The dining room was very good with friendly. attentive staff for our evening meal which was better than expected and the breakfast was also excellent with plenty choice.

The reception and restaurant staff was lovely: very helpful and welcoming. The room was large enough to be able to move despite our 6 bags/suitcases and despite the baby cot. The room and bathroom were spotless clean (even in the little corners and holes that our toddler wanted to put his little fingers into!). And the location is very convenient, 5 minutes walk from the gates. I was afraid to hear the sound of planes taking off and landing but I didn't.

Absolutely love the look and feel of this hotel! Fantastic interiors, and excellent location. It's charming, clean, and comfortable. Loved that it was silent, too. A wonderful haven within the airport.
